LAMBORGHINI: Ferruccio Lamborghini, an Italian manufacturing businessman, founded Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini S.p.A back in 1963 to compete with other successful businesses, including Ferrari. He started off by manufacturing tractors for the first couple of years. However, he drove a Ferrari for the first time and became frustrated with a nagging clutch problem on the car…this annoyed him so much that he started manufacturing Supercars instead of tractors! The world of bullfighting is a key concept for Lamborghini. In 1962, Ferruccio visited a farm in Seville which specialised in breeding fighter bulls. As Lamborghini was a Taurus, he was so impressed by the majestic animal, he decided to use one as his emblem for the business he was about to create. This is a very iconic logo! The company was once independent, but is now part owned by Volkswagen AG together with Audi. Lamborghini also provides two versions of the Gallardo to the Italian state police. They are also often used to deliver organs to patients awaiting transplants All of the Supercars on our fleet are iconic in their own special ways, the perfect gift for any Italian car lover!

Back in the early 2000’s a Ferrari driving experience was far and away the top selling car driving experience. Typically on a DriveMe Experience event day, facilities are second to none with great quality catering available, a large marquee to provide cover from that inclement weather we are all used to here in the UK. Other optional extras such as Pay and Drive are available on the day aimed at those who wish to drive extra supercars as well as their pre-booked choices. Friends and family are all welcome and if they bring their driving license too they can pick a supercar and also partake in a fast car experience too.

There is a difference though between a supercar day and a race day experience. DriveMe doesn’t really cater for hardened track enthusiasts – we leave this to others. What we do superbly is to provide a supercar track day experience usually as a gift, for someone who is very special.

We get asked often at DriveMe how much a supercar driving experience costs. Of course many of our valued customers will spend as little at £79 or so purchasing a Ferrari experience for a family member for example. Others will go to the extreme and spend £495 or more on what may end up being a full day driving experience.
