Driveme is committed to ensuring that all its customers enjoy driving experiences of the highest quality, which are safe, exciting and value for money. Whether a novice driver or experienced professional, we want you to feel welcome and enjoy expert tuition from our instructors, in the best vehicles and pleasant surroundings. We know how much our customers enjoy their driving experiences, so our terms and conditions have been carefully written to ensure that there are no misunderstandings, which could detract from your enjoyment. We recommend that anyone purchasing or booking their experience takes time to read the terms and conditions in full.
Your commitment to us
You will need to be sure to give yourself plenty of lead time for your booking, which can be as much as 8 – 12 weeks prior to the date of your event. It is critical that your voucher validity date has not expired when you attend, as you will not be allowed to take part in your experience. Once you have booked your date, we reserve your car, instructor and circuit time. If you then choose to cancel, you will be in breach of contract and we reserve the right to retain all monies paid.
When booking your experience, please be aware that there are limited spaces to book in each car and these operate on a “first come first served” basis. If your preferred car is fully booked you will be offered other options, this may include a different model of car, a higher specification car (this may incur an additional fee) or an alternative date/venue.
NOTE: Please arrive in good time for registration. We ask that you arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled start time so that you can receive relevant information before taking part in your event. All customers must allow plenty of time for their journey, if they are late (arriving after their agreed arrival time stated on their letter/email) they will not be able to take part in their experience. Directions to the venue are sent out as assistance only and customers are asked to plan their journeys carefully, 6th Gear Experience is not responsible for customers getting to the venue. If you have any issues prior to your event, please call our track side number: 07961 682 141 for more assistance.
On the day, the participating driver must bring their driving licence and their confirmation letter/email, without these you will not be able to take part.
Drivers, please wear soft soled shoes or trainers. Climbing boots or high heels are not suitable for driving supercars!
6th Gear Experience Gift Vouchers
The cost of our Gift Voucher Pack is £5.50 and is sent First Class Royal Mail as standard in a plain envelope the same working day if the order is received by 4pm. All orders made after 4pm will be sent First Class the next working day. However please allow 2-5 working days delivery time.
At time of purchase all customers have the option to choose our ‘Special Delivery’ service, again via the Royal Mail. This guarantee’s next day delivery before 1pm. All orders for ‘Special Delivery’ must be made before 3pm Monday to Friday. Our ‘Special Delivery’ service is charged at £12.50 per order (£17.50 for Saturday delivery) and can be specified when purchasing on our website or by contacting our office on 01675 433800. Please note that all delivery options will be affected by Bank Holidays and Christmas periods. In all cases Driveme are not liable for any delays incurred by the Royal Mail.
Gift Vouchers are issued either for a specific experience or a monetary value. Open Gift Vouchers are available from a minimum of £50. All gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless being purchased using a discount code which has a limited time period stated. All vouchers can be extended at a cost of 10% of the voucher value per month required subject to a minimum cost of £30.00 and the voucher must still be within the validity period in order to extend. Protect your gift Voucher and treat it as cash, the balance cannot be returned if it is lost or stolen. Driveme is not responsible for any unauthorised use of your Gift Voucher. Your Gift voucher is not a credit, debit or cheque guarantee card. Your Gift Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
Any loyalty discount/promotional code can only be redeemed against Driveme driving experiences. It is not valid against our Photography, Video, Catering, or Insurance products. Driveme reserves the right to cancel any loyalty reduction programme at any time.
Driveme are happy to make refunds on un-booked experiences, bought direct through Driveme within 14 days of purchase, minus a 10% administration charge (being a minimum charge of £30 and a maximum charge of £50). After 14 days no refund will be available. Refunds are always made to the person who purchased the experience, and if originally purchased by credit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. If the card has expired you will need to request a refund in writing, quoting details of a new credit card. If you have a date specific or booked voucher then no refund or cancellation or other changes may be made.
Changes to bookings
Once your voucher has been redeemed against an event, that event date becomes its expiry date. One free administration change (date, car or name) can be made outside 30 days of the event. A minimum admin fee of £30 is applicable per person per change for any change inside 30 days but before 72 hours of the event. £30 must be paid at the time of first notifying Driveme of the change. If your booking is left open following a change, the experience must be rebooked and taken within 3 months of the original event date. Driveme does not accept cancellations inside 3 days of the event if your event has been booked (unless covered under separate cancellation cover).
This can be purchased on the site or requested from our Customer Care Team on 01675 433 800 before booking your activity at a cost of £20 and is valid for use one time only. If you have purchased this from Driveme we will rebook an activity, within three months of the cancelled event. This cover is valid if the customer should cancel an already booked activity session as a direct consequence of one or more of the circumstances set out below:
· Death within the immediate family.
· Breakdown on route to an event.
· Serious illness of participant.
Relevant official recovery documentation must be provided for the above in the event of cancellation. Once purchased this policy is non-refundable and does not fall within the 14 day conditions. This covers the participant taking part in the event and not the gift voucher. This is only available on experiences up to the value of £299 please call if over this value for a bespoke cost. Please note, this cover does not entitle the customer to a refund of the experience, simply a further three month period to rebook their event.
Driveme requires all customers to complete an indemnity waiver form on the day of their event prior to commencing their activity. This is completed by signing the relevant indemnity form. With few exceptions, all our experiences involve some element of risk and danger. This is what creates the excitement and the thrill. Every customer is covered by our standard public liability insurance. You may wish to take out additional cover over and above that provided. Accordingly you are advised to consider insurance cover for personal accident, loss of limb and even death or indemnity insurance for damage caused to any vehicles on your event before embarking on your experience. Driveme is not responsible for any risks not specifically covered by its own insurance and on arrival at your venue for a Driveme experience you will be asked to sign a driver’s indemnity.
Damage Waiver Cover
Driveme offers a damage waiver cover which is available by paying a fee of £25.00 for the first car and £5.00 for each additional car driven. Driveme ask you to agree that should there be any damage whatsoever to any of the vehicles you drive, by purchasing the damage waiver cover, you will not have to pay the first £5000 of damage as stated on the signing in sheet for your experience. The damage waiver Cover is void if found to be driving negligently/dangerously or not listening to the instructors instructions. The damage waiver cover is non-refundable.
Driving Licence Policy
Driveme reserve the right to refuse to allow the experience if no Driving Licence is presented on the day. In certain circumstances at our discretion a driver may be allowed to take part if they produce an alternative form of ID and take the Damage Waiver Cover. The driver will be required to cover the cost of a DVLA check at £15 and give their consent – the check can take up to 28 days. If the DVLA cannot be contacted upon your registration, you agree to contact the DVLA on 09061393837 within 72 hours of your drive to leave permission on file for us to perform the check at a later date. Damage Waiver Cover must be taken if no licence is presented.
We do ask that all participants bring their driving licence with them for their event. We also request that you can drive a vehicle with a manual gear box. Any driver holding only an automatic licence must declare this at time of booking, we do have selected automatic gearbox cars available but they may be subject to extra charge.
Photographs of your driving experience are available for an extra cost. We have a professional photographer positioned at the edge of the circuit and in the pit lane to take photographs of your special day. Our driving Experience photography is provided as an optional service. Whilst every effort is made to capture images in all cars that you drive, occasionally some are missed. In the event of a picture in a particular car being unavailable, no re-drives will be offered and a refund of the photograph(s) will be given. As guests are able to go along with the Truck Driving Experience we do not take professional photographs of this activity.
In addition, your experience can be captured via 2 Video Cameras in our cars, one trained on the driver, one trained on the track. You are able to purchase a memory stick that, when inserted into the car, will store the video footage of your drive. We employ technology that in particular will register your speed & position on the circuit. Why not take your experience home with you! This option must be purchased prior to your drive, prices start at £35.
(All memory sticks shall remain the property of Driveme until your experience is completed. Any footage deemed inappropriate by Driveme will be withheld and removed from the memory stick).
Memory sticks purchased & used at a previous event cannot be used again at future events. Software and hardware is continually updated; as such, used sticks can cause corruptions to updated software/hardware. Driveme holds no responsibility should attempts be made by a customer to use an ‘old’ memory stick causing loss of footage.
Memory Sticks are purchased as a separate entity from the Driving Experience. Video footage of your drive cannot be guaranteed, should any error occur, only the refund of the cost or partial cost (whichever is arranged) of the stick will be discussed, there will be no re-drives.
Please Note: We cannot guarantee the footage from any High Speed Passenger Laps and cameras are aimed at the driver, not passengers in all cars.
If you experience any problems with your Memory Stick, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with full contact details and your enquiry. Should we not be able to recover your footage off any cars due to a technical failure, a full refund will be provided on return of the USB to our offices. If there is any missing footage i.e from one car on a multiple car experience then a partial refund of £5 per car will be offered. GPS and speedometer issues are not covered by this refund policy as they are additional features provided free of charge.
NB. Photographs and video footage remain the property of Driveme and maybe used for Driveme promotional material which may include our brochure and/or website.
We also have further vehicles for participants and guests to drive on a ‘Pay and Drive’ basis subject to an additional charge. In addition to the pre-booked customer experiences we also offer extra drives and passenger laps in our Supercars. Subject to availability extra experiences can be purchased on the day from our Pay and Drive desk. All drivers wishing to undertake in a driving experience will need to produce a valid driving licence on the day to participate so don’t forget to bring it along and experience a once in a lifetime thrill in the Supercar of your choice.
Any optional extras or supplements purchased during the booking process such as; weekend fees, car upgrades, additional insurance/cover, voucher extensions or administration fees are non-refundable.
We serve hot and cold food and drinks from our professional catering van on site. We aim to operate this at every one of our events, apart from Three Sisters race circuit, which has its own onsite catering facilities.
Certain experiences are subject to minimum or maximum requirements, e.g. age, health or weight. Once booked, you may be liable for charges if you have to cancel because the minimum requirements are not met. Full details are included in your gift pack and we ask you to read this carefully as soon as you receive it. As a guide our minimum height is 5’ and maximum height is 6’6’’. Our maximum weight restriction is approximately 18 stone. Height and weight are experience dependent, please ask for details.
We hold a no smoking rule whilst in vehicles or in any building on a Driveme event. This also applies to the area in front of our catering facility. We also respectfully ask that you do not smoke near our members of staff as this is their working environment. Alcohol is strictly forbidden from all our events. Anyone who is considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from all activities and entitled to no refund or rebooking. In certain circumstances a breath sample may be requested.
All clients participating in motoring activities must hold a valid UK/International driving licence unless specifically stated otherwise in the brochure, for example in the case of the junior driving. If you have any medical condition or disability which may affect your ability to undertake the experience this must be disclosed on the booking form where indicated. If you are in any doubt then please consult your doctor. We will ask you to confirm that you are not suffering from any illness or disability whether permanent or temporary or otherwise which is likely to affect your control of the vehicles being driven. To ensure the validity of any cover we may in some instances ask clients over a certain age to produce a medical certificate.
Due to health and safety restrictions Driveme operates a strict no spin rule at all our experience day events. If a customer spins a supercar being driven on or off the track due to excessive speed or not adhering to the instructor their session is terminated with no refund. Our experience days are track based events and are not ‘drift’ experiences and we expect our customers to drive as such and listen to the instructor’s comments.
We request that the driver has a good understanding of the English language to ensure instructions given by the instructor are understood. We reserve the right to change your experience to Passenger Laps should no understanding of the instructions be demonstrated.
Spectators are welcome to attend the event with no restrictions at all our venues, subject to the following conditions: Due to insurance restrictions, children under the age of 16 are permitted but must be supervised at all times whilst on the site by an accompanying adult. Dogs (except guide dogs) or pets cannot be admitted under any circumstances. With reference to our Truck Driving Experience spectators are welcome to the venue but a limit of 2 plus the participant can attend the Truck Experience area due to space.
We recommend that you come prepared for the extremes of the British climate! Please wear comfortable driving clothing. On cold/wet days you will need warm waterproof clothing, gloves and hats, whilst on summer days the site can become extremely hot and dusty (sun cream). On dry days, wearers of contact lenses may experience some discomfort. It is recommended that soft soled shoes are worn as most supercars have minimal spacing between the operating pedals. Climbing boots are not recommended!
Driveme is not liable for failure to perform it’s obligations if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.
If Driveme asserts Force Majeure as an excuse for failure to perform it’s obligation, then the nonperforming party must prove that Driveme took reasonable steps to minimize delay or damages caused by foreseeable events, that Driveme substantially fulfilled all non-excused obligations, and that the other party was timely notified of the likelihood or actual occurrence of an event described in this document (Force Majeure)
Definitions and Other General Information (please read carefully)
The pictures used in all promotional collateral to illustrate experiences, particularly those that take place at more than one location, are used as an indication only. The machines, vehicles, craft, animals and settings at each venue may vary and are subject to availability and or change.
The pictures used and descriptions of experiences duration, timings and availability on the website are intended to be a guide only for clients and do not form part of any contract with them. Since the equipment used, the settings in which they take place, as well as the supplier/venue may vary from time to time and are subject to change without notice to us the supplier. Driveme reserves the right to make amendments and changes to their experiences without notice and will not be liable for doing so. However all reasonable steps are taken to ensure that the experiences provided fall within the general terms described in the brochure/description information file or website. Where this cannot be fulfilled alternative venues or experiences will be offered to the value of your gift voucher. All vehicles used on the day with Driveme are subject to availability and or changes without notice and in the event of a vehicle not being available another vehicle maybe implemented but will be of equivalent performance.
The information provided by Driveme on each experience is correct at the time of print & website. However, the content or format of experiences may change during the year. Details of each experience are available from our website or our Customer Services Team on 01675 433 800 Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. All of Driveme’s driving events are operated from January-November, your experience must be taken in these months but the office is open all year round and you can book in anytime year round. We plan arrangements for your Experience many months in advance. Very occasionally changes may be made and we reserve the right to do so. This may involve having to reschedule the timing and/or location of an Experience, possibly at short notice, owing to availability, booking numbers, safety, technical problems or other factors beyond our control. We cannot be held liable for any costs incurred in any of these circumstances. We will try to provide an experience, location or other alternative wherever possible. In the unlikely event that an alternative cannot or is not offered, a full refund will be available at the discretion of Driveme. Similarly, we reserve the right to withdraw supply of a gift without notice due to unavailability or discontinuance of a product line. If alternatives have been offered and dates are available no refunds will be available.
Some packages include a High Speed Passenger Lap which can be taken after your drives. This is included as a part of the pre-booked package and cannot be donated to a third party. THERE WILL BE MORE THAN ONE PARTICIPANT IN THE PERFORMANCE SALOON CAR. At the end of your Experience all participants will receive a Driveme Supercar Certificate which can be collected in a digital copy from our Media Truck.
Session lengths and availability
All experiences are offered subject to availability and weather conditions on the day. It may be necessary to book your day on certain experiences well in advance due to demand, we recommend 8-12 weeks as a guideline. We are unable to make provisional reservations. Our event dates vary from venue to venue and are a mixture of weekdays and weekends but we cannot guarantee either at any particular venue. You are advised not to make travel, hotel or other arrangements until your booking has been confirmed in writing. Should any alterations have to then take place due to reasons beyond our control we shall not be held liable for any expenses incurred. Session lengths are approximate, vary from venue to venue and are given simply as an indication of the time you will spend at the venue. Unless stated otherwise, you will usually be taking turns with other people and there will be waiting time involved. We give timed itineraries as a guide only and the running order of an event may change without notice and Driveme will not be liable. In many instances experience duration will be influenced by weather and the number of persons participating on the day, as a result there may be some waiting time.
Adverse weather conditions & mechanical breakdown & cancellation of your booked event
From time to time some of our experiences may have to be cancelled or suspended due to adverse weather conditions, reasons beyond our control or occasionally mechanical breakdowns. Our events do continue in the rain. Driveme will not be responsible for any accommodation, travel or incidental expenses incurred by customers and every effort will be made on the day for your event to continue, even if the time scale is over and above expected booked time or we will offer you an alternative. Driveme reserve the right to offer an adequate alternative car or date where necessary. Once you have booked your experience you are bound by the relevant supplier’s terms and conditions and these will be implemented and adhered to at all times.
If you have a problem or complaint on the day, please bring it to the attention of the host or event manager/organiser at the venue as soon as possible so they have a chance to put matters right. In general, we consider it unreasonable if you take no action during an event, but then write a letter of complaint at a later date. It is difficult to put your issue right if you have already left the venue. Our corporate policy is to ensure all staff of Driveme ensure that we have happy customers. Refunds cannot be issued after your event. If you have a situation with regards to any other matters, you can send a letter to our customer services department at the address below; our policy is to reply within 30 days.
Data Protection Act 1998
Driveme complies with each of the eight principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. Those principles require that data is:
Fairly and lawfully processed
Processed for limited purposes
Adequate, relevant and not excessive
Retained only for the necessary period
Processed in accordance with the data subject’s rights
Held in a secure environment
Not transferred outside the EU without adequate protection
All details supplied by clients or recipients of gifts remain confidential to the company. Under no circumstances will any information be supplied to third parties without our clients and or the recipient’s specific authorities in writing, except where there is an emergency involving the statutory authorities.
All the above terms and conditions apply as a condition of using any voucher, whether or not the voucher holder is the original purchaser.
Driveme liability for any claim of breach of obligation regarding any single voucher or experience shall not exceed the price of that experience. This excludes claims arising from personal injury or death due to the negligence of Driveme or anyone for whom we are responsible.
The text, illustrations and pictures used in all Driveme marketing material are protected by copyright and must not be copied in whole or in part without the express permission of Driveme.
Calls may be recorded for quality, legal and training purposes.
The above terms and conditions are to be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the statutory rights afforded there under and subject thereto shall form the basis of the contract between the company and its corporate or individual client.
